IGNOU July Session 2018 Online Application Process Begins

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) 2018 Registration for the July session has started. The registration will be held online through the official website ignou.ac.in.  All the candidates who are willing to apply for IGNOU for various courses such as  Diploma, Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma can do so now. You need to register yourself first for the desired course. Students should note that the application process is available until June 30, 2018. Providing enough time for candidates to check through courses, apply and read the instructions beforehand. Candidates are advised to go through eligibility criteria before applying.

Students need to note that IGNOU for July session will release the application for certificate, diploma, and postgraduate diploma courses only. You can check the available programmes under these through the IGNOU online portal.

Candidates must also check eligibility requirements for each course they apply. As there are some postgraduate di[ploma courses for which the candidate applying is required to have prescribed prior work experience. The work experience should be done in the particular domain only.

The candidate before filling the online Application should keep the scanned copy of the following items. The items required while filling the application include a photograph (less than 100 KB), signature (less than 100 KB), Age Proof. Other than these a copy of the following documents such as Educational Qualification relevant to course applied, Experience Certificate, if applicable, Category Certificate (in case of ST/ ST/ OBC), and BPL Certificate if the candidate is Below the Poverty Line. All these documents should be less than 400 KB.

In order to apply for IGNOU 2018 July, session candidates who will be applying the first time need to register themselves first on the admission portal of IGNOU. For this, you need to visit the official IGNOU website which is given above. On the website click on the Admission link for July 2018 session. Candidates need to click on ‘Register Yourself’ link present on the webpage. After this fill the required details. Once the Registration is complete, the User Id and Password will be sent to you on the registered email address you provided. Candidates are required to login himself using the id and password. After logging complete the application process. Which includes uploading documents as mentioned above.

The online application will be complete only after payment of enrollment fee. Candidates can pay the application fee online through Credit/ Debit Card/ Netbanking.

Candidates must fill the online form carefully as false information provided will not be entertained and will be rejected without prior notice. It is advised to fill up all the relevant columns and provide all the self-attested documents.

IGNOU is named after former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, the university was established in 1985 (IGNOU Act 1985). Run by the central government it was founded to serve the Indian population through distance and open education. With active enrollment of over 4 million students, it is claimed to be the largest university in the world.
