The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has released the specimen paper for the Literature in English – Paper II exam for class 10. The exam is scheduled to be held tomorrow, i.e. November 30, 2021 for a duration of 01 hours. Students who will be appearing for the exam can now download the specimen paper from the official website of CISCE – cisce.org.
To download the specimen paper, here are the steps that the candidates and guardians can follow.
Step 1- Go to the official website of CISCE – cisce.org
Step 2- Click on the ‘+’ sign below I.C.S.E class 10
Step 3- Now, click on the link for ‘Specimen Question Papers’
Step 4- A new page will open where one has to click on ‘Semester-1’ under ‘Specimen Question Papers ICSE – Class X’
Step 5- There will be a long list of subjects from which they have to click ‘Literature in English (English Paper – 2)
Step 6- The specimen question will be displayed in the form of a PDF
Step 7- Download the same and take a printout if required

The specimen question paper is divided into two sections: Section A and B. The first section has 10 objective-type questions that account for 10 marks. On the other hand, Section B has 06 extracts for 05 marks each. Under each extract, there are 05 questions comprising 01 mark each. Students have to first read the extracts carefully and then answer the questions. These questions also follow the objective-type pattern and the students have to select the correct option from the four available options.
The specimen question paper comes with a maximum of 40 marks. Candidates will be given a duration of 01 hour to solve the paper which also includes the reading time. This specimen paper for English literature will give an idea about what type of questions the students can expect in the examination tomorrow. Hence, it is advised to go through it and solve the paper.
