Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has conducted the English Literature Paper 2 Semester 1 exam today, November 30, 2021, across the country. The first semester exam for english literature paper 2 was held from 11 am to 12 pm in a single shift. As the exam is now over, several educators have released the answer key for the examination online on different platforms.
Candidates can check out the answer key of ICSE English Literature paper 2 to know the correct answers of the multiple choice questions. It may be noted that while some of the educators have uploaded answer keys on their social media platforms citing it to be official, however, CISCE has not released any answer key officially. Nevertheless, the answers seem to be quite accurate as of now. Before the exam, the council had released the specimen paper to provide an insight regarding the paper pattern, marking scheme, question type etc.
English Literature Paper 2, Semester 1 bifurcated syllabus released earlier by the council mentioned questions from chapters like The Merchant of Venice, Nine Gold Medals, and short stories like All Summer in a Day, The Little Match Girl shall be asked in the examination. The exam has questions from The Little Match Girl and paragraph-based questions from The Merchant of Venice were also asked in today’s exam.

As per students who have appeared for the English Literature Paper 2, the questions asked in the examination were of tough levels. The candidates find questions in the fill-in-the-blanks, comprehensive based a little on the harder side. However, nearly everyone was able to complete the paper on time.
The council has earlier released a bifurcated syllabus for the English Literature paper 2. As per the syllabus released, this term is going to have two sections i.e. A and B. Section A is going to have 10 objective-based questions for 10 marks and section B is going to have 6 extract-based questions accounting for 5 marks each.
