ICSE English Language paper for Term 1 semester is scheduled for November 29, 2021. With one day left for the examination, test takers are advised to go through the syllabus released by the council. In addition to the syllabus, going through the specimen paper and previous year’s question papers shall render further assistance.
Keeping in mind the new rule of the council i.e. conducting two-semester exams from this year onwards, the council has released a bifurcated syllabus. According to it, the examination shall be held for 40 marks and is going to have questions based on Comprehension and Grammar. The decision of reducing the syllabus has been taken citing the uncertain situation prevailing in the country due to Covid-19.
In a bid to make the candidates familiar with the latest changes introduced in the ICSE English Language paper, the council has released a specimen question paper for the subject. Candidates can download the specimen paper and analyze it to understand the paper structure, level of questions that could be asked in the examination. It can further be used as practice material and attempting it could make the candidates aware of their overall preparations.
Previous year’s question papers are the most recommended sources for the ICSE English Language paper examination. These papers are instrumental as they help in getting a real-time knowledge of the level of the questions usually asked in the ICSE class 10th exam. PYPs play a pivotal role in strategizing before the examination of ICSE English Language. As there is no sectional timing in the examination hence candidates can plan regarding which question to attempt first. The order of attempting the question paper should be such that easy questions are attempted first while saving the tougher ones for the end.
ICSE is going to commence the class 10 examination from November 29 to December 16, 2021, in a single shift from 11 am to 12 pm. The admit cards for the candidates have been issued by the respective schools earlier. Candidates will be provided extra 10 minutes to read the question paper.
