The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has successfully conducted the ICSE class 10 Biology – Science Paper 3 exam today, i.e. December 15, 2021. Students had to appear for the exam for a duration of 60 minutes starting from 11 AM. They were given a duration of 10 minutes for reading the question paper. As a result, the question paper cum answer booklet was distributed by 10:50 AM.
CISCE had previously released the bifurcated syllabus for the semester 1 examination on its official website – cisce.org to help the students prepare better for the exam. This time, there has been a renewed pattern of holding the exams, and students had to familiarize themselves with it using the specimen question papers.
The ICSE Class 10 Biology semester 1 exam was taken for a total of 40 marks. As per the reduced syllabus, there were a total of two complete units in the examination. These units are Basic Biology and Plant Physiology. As per the specimen paper, there are a total of 03 sections in the question paper with each section having MCQs. Students had to mark their answers in an OMR sheet.
However, with the culmination of the exam, students are likely to be in search of the answer keys and question paper analysis. It is expected that the same will be available shortly on popular online platforms like YouTube and Telegram. Students should keep an eye on the channels that are run by the coaching institutes, educators, and subject experts to have an idea about when the answer keys will be made available. Moreover, some channels also publish soft copies or PDF versions of the same. So, ensure to check the description box of the videos.
Nonetheless, it is still unclear whether CISCE will release the official answer keys or not. So, it is advised to go through the question paper discussions and answer keys that are available online. A few channels that are expected to release the answer keys are Master Mind, Sir Tarun Rupani, Clarify Knowledge by Pranay Mishra, Vedantu 9&10, etc. Please note that these are not the only channels that are likely to release the answer keys.
Also, in case the answer keys are not immediately available, then students should check the same later on. Since these are unofficial answer keys, so students should go through more than one of them. These answer keys, however, do not guarantee 100% accuracy.
