Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is hiring eligible candidates for the post of Assistant (Group-B). A recruitment notice has also been released for the same with Advertisement No. ICMR/ Assistants/2020 from pgimer.edu.in and icmr.nic.in. The online registrations for the recruitment have commenced from November 07, 2020. Candidates can submit their online applications on or before the last date December 03, 2020.
To submit applications for the post of Assistant, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have a minimum qualification of a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university/ institutes. They must have a working knowledge of Computer (MS Office/ PowerPoint).
Candidate’s age should not be more than that of 30 years. The upper age limit of candidate is calculated as on the last date of the submission of the online application form. Up to 05 years age relaxation is provided to SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD. Know more about the age relaxation from the official notification.
Before applying, candidates are advised to confirm their eligibility through the advertisement that is available on icmr.nic.in and pgimer.edu.in website. They should also have an email id and mobile number before they register themselves for the ICMR recruitment. Also, keep photograph scanned in size between 03 kb to 500 kb. While registering, candidates have to enter details such as the advertisement number, date of birth, name of the candidate, category, email id, mobile number, etc. On successful registration, aspirants will get a username/ application number and password. Aspirants are advised to keep these details safe for future reference.
While submitting the applications for ICMR recruitment, candidates also have to pay the application fee accordingly. Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ EWS/ Women category have to pay an application fee amounting to Rs. 1200/-. For all other candidates, the application fee is Rs. 1500 plus transaction charges. However, persons with Benchmark disabilities are exempted from fee submission. The fee can only be paid online using debit card/ credit card/ Net Banking.
The selection of candidates for the advertised post of Assistant is organized through 03 stages – checking eligibility, written exam and document verification round. As per the notification, the CBT round is scheduled for January 03, 2021. The call letters for CBT exam will be out by December 21, 2020, at ICMR website. Thereafter, on a qualifying written exam, candidates are called for the document verification round.
