ICAR Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) is inviting applications for the recruitment of Senior Research Fellow on contractual basis. ICAR CIPHET has published an official recruitment advertisement in this regard at the official website ciphet.in. Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through the walk-in interview, scheduled to be conducted on September 30 from 11.30 AM at Ludhiana. Applications in the prescribed proforma must be sent through email/Speed Post to the Principal Investigator before attending the interview as per schedule.
As per the employment notification published at the CIPHET website, there is a single vacancy available for the post of Senior Research Fellow. The vacancy is available in a National Agricultural Science Fund (NASF) funded project undertaken by the ICAR CIPHET. As such, the appointment will be on a contractual and co-terminus basis following the prescribed procedure for six months or till the completion of the project. The project is likely to be completed in July 2021. Appointed candidates will be paid a monthly remuneration of Rs 31000 in addition to Housing Rent Allowance.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the recruitment. For men, the maximum permissible age is 35 years while for women, the maximum permissible age is 40 years. It is essential that applicants have a Master’s degree in any of the disciplines among Food Technology, Food Science & Technology, Dairy Technology, Process and Food Engineering, Food Engineering & Technology, Agricultural Structures and Process Engineering or other relevant disciplines. In addition, candidates must also have completed 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. It is an essential criterion that applicants who have a Post Graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree must also have a NET qualification.
Selection of the candidates is to be done through walk-in interviews as specified before. However, candidates have to apply before attending the interview on the scheduled date. The interview will be held as per schedule at the Committee Room, ICAR CIPHET Ludhiana or through online channels. Selected candidates will be posted at ICAR CIPHET, Ludhiana. The institute will not reimburse any TA/DA for attending the interview. Since the post is contractual, candidates cannot claim for re-employment or absorption after the completion of the project tenure.
Candidates must carry with them all original documents and documents of publication work during post-graduation/PhD along with one set of photocopy of all documents to the interview. Candidates are required to report at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for completion of preliminary formalities. Those who choose to opt for a digital interview on the application form have to submit all documents before September 30, 2020, by 11.00 AM.
