After having postponed the exam date of Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, the HP Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has finally published the full exam schedule now. The written examination is scheduled to be held in two consecutive shifts on December 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2020. 2 papers will be held on each of the exam days, therefore, completing the 8 papers on the last exam date. Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education published the official notification of HP TET 2020 exam earlier in October 2020. The examination is conducted once a year for determining the eligibility of suitably qualified candidates for recruitment as a teacher in the state of Himachal Pradesh. At that time, the Board announced that the exam will be held on November 29 and December 06, 12 and 13, 2020. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the new schedule, the exam for TGT (Arts) TET and TGT (Medical) TET are going to be held on December 12, 2020 in two shifts. Similarly, the exams for Punjabi TET and Urdu TET are scheduled to be held on December 13, 2020. On December 14, 2020, the exams for JBT TET and Shastri TET are scheduled to be held. On the last date i.e. December 15, 2020, the papers for TGT (Non-Medical) TET and Language Teacher TET are scheduled to be held.
The 2.30 hours duration papers are being held in two shifts each day. Candidates may note the official exam timing for the first shift is 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM in the first shift on each day. Similarly, the second shift is from 02.00 PM to 04.30 PM on each day. However, candidates are advised to report to respective examination centres well in time in order to avoid delays. Candidates arriving late and without necessary documents such as to admit card, photo identity proof etc., will not be allowed to appear in the test.
HP TET 2020 exam is scheduled to be held as an offline test in centres across the state of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates are intimated about the designated exam centre and timings of the exam through the admit card which releases at the offiicial website around 04 days before the examination. Those who registered and applied for HP TET 2020 have to download the admit card from the website hpbose.org by logging in with the registration number/password.
The official notification available at the aforementioned website contains the complete exam details of HP TET 2020. Candidates will have to mark their answers on OMR sheets with black/blue ballpoint pen. The question paper consists of 150 MCQ type questions only carrying 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in this exam. Candidates have to finish the paper in 150 minutes only.
