Haryana Board of School Education has cancelled the Haryana 10th Board Exam 2021. The result for the students will be released based on the criteria set by CBSE. Also, the Haryana 12th Board Exam 2021 stands postponed due to Coronavirus cases. New dates for the Class 12th Boards exam will be released after June 01, 2021. An official notification discussing the decision is also updated on the HBSE website, bseh.org.in.
Haryana Boards Exam for Class 10th was scheduled to take place from April 22 to May 15, 2021. The 12th Boards Exam in the state was scheduled from April 20, 2021, to May 17, 2021. With an increasing number of the COVID-19 case across the country, the Haryana Board of School Education has decided to cancel the 10th board exam and postpone the 12th board exam. The Board will announce new dates for the Haryana 12th Board exam 2021 after June 01, 2021, after scrutinising the situation. The new date sheet will be released at least 15 days before the examination.
Moreover, the 10th class students are not required to appear for the final examination. Their result will be declared based on the criteria set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As per the reports, the students will be promoted to Class 11th based on the CBSE 15 Point ‘objective criterion’. There is not much clarity as to what CBSE has fixed the parameters for the Criterion. However, it has been in the news that CBSE has asked CBSE affiliated schools to forward the information about the student’s academic performance as per 15 point format. Their performance will be evaluated based on the project works, assignments etc. As said in the notice, Haryana Board will be following the same procedure to declare Haryana Class 10th Board Exam without actually holding it.
Other than this, Haryana Board has also mentioned that the Secondary/ Senior Secondary Exam of Open school is postponed. Self-studying (Compartment/ Mark Improvement/ Additional subject) annual examination also stands postponed due to COVID-19. New dates will be released in due course of time. On June 01, 2021, the Board will analyse the situation and thereafter decide on when the examination should take place without affecting the student’s health.
The BSEH, Haryana has already released admit card for the Class 10th and Class 12th Boards Examination. Previously, Haryana Board has altered the exam timings for the exam. However, with the calculation and postponement of the CBSE Boards exam, Haryana Board and other state boards have also cancelled 10th Board exam and postponed the 12th Board exam.
