The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has successfully conducted the GUJCET 2022 exam today, i.e. April 18, 2022. Candidates had to appear for the exam for over two shifts. While the first shift took place between 10 AM to 12 PM, the second shift was held from 2 PM to 4 PM. So far, the official answer keys have not been released but candidates can still refer to the unofficial ones that will be released by subject experts and educators.
Examinations for Physics and Chemistry were held in the first shift which took place from 10 AM to 12 Noon. As per the candidates, the overall difficulty level for the paper was moderate. However, for some, Chemistry turned out to be sufficiently easy. The questions were asked on topics like Communication System, Wave Optics, Current Electricity, Phenols, Ethers, and Aldehydes. A total of 80 questions have been asked in the paper. In other words, there were 40 questions each from Physics and Chemistry.
Marking Scheme
There were portions in the paper. Paper 1 was allotted for Physics while and Chemistry. This was a general paper and every candidate had to appear for the same. For every correct question, 01 mark will be given. However, there is a negative marking in the GUJCET 2022 exam. Every incorrect answer will attract a deduction of 0.25 marks from that question.
On the other hand, Paper 2 comprised questions from Mathematics and Biology. Candidates can either choose Mathematics or Biology depending on their course of study. The best possible way to calculate a tentative score is to go through the answer keys and question paper solutions that will be released in due time.
At this point, the unofficial answer keys can be accessed from YouTube. Channels such as Vector Educators, Rajani Sir, Level Up – Harshid Shah, rypy e-learning hub, etc. can be referred to for the answer keys. Although unofficial, these answer keys can still help candidates get an idea of their overall performance in the exam.
