Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara will release the GSET admit card 2019 on December 22, 2019. The Gujarat State Eligibility Test is scheduled to be held on December 29, 2019 for 25 subjects, at 11 centres in the state. The test is to determine eligibility of a candidate to become an assistant professor.
The exam will be held on the last Sunday of this month, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
As per the GSET 2019 official notification, the details of accepted applicants for GSET examination should be placed on the website gujaratset.ac.in from 10 days after the last date for form submission. Since the form submission ended on November 30, 2019, therefore the details of accepted candidates should be available by now.
Both of the websites, gujaratset.ac.in and gujaratset.in do not have any separate links for list of accepted applications or such a notice yet. Thus, candidates can login to their accounts and see if they can check application status now. It is also expected that MSU Baroda will publish a list separately to indicate the names and details of accepted rejected candidates.
The notification says “Any query including missing name, one can contact GSET Agency, Vadodara through e-mail: [email protected] within 5 days of declaration of the list.”
Candidates who have applied for the Gujarat State Eligibility Test between November 4 and 30, 2019 can download their hall tickets from gujaratset.ac.in, and gujaratset.in from the said date. MSU Baroda has confirmed that hall tickets for all applicants shall be available 7 days prior to exam.
An important announcement by the exam organizers is that they have decided to release the admit cards for those candidates also, only provisionally, who have 5% registration process, that is they have done only online registration and fee payment.
GSET 2019 will be held in english language for the subjects mathematical sciences, physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences, english, management, computer science and application, earth sciences.
It will be held in hindi for the subject hindi. The question paper will be in gujarati only for the subject gujarati. Sanskrit paper will only be in sanskrit language. For these subjects, the language of exam will be english as well as gujarati, namely history, sociology, economics, political science, education, psychology, library and information science, law, commerce, physical education, home science, social work.
MSU Baroda will conduct the exam at Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Patan, Bhavnagar, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Godhra, Junagadh, Valsad, Bhuj. Their respective centre codes are 01 to 11.
Gujarat SET 2019, much like the national level NTA UGC NET exam, will have paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will have 50 questions of 100 marks, and paper 2 will have 100 questions of 200 marks. First one will have general nature questions that assess the teaching and research aptitude of a person. Whereas the second one will be based on the subject opted. All the questions will be of 2 marks, and there will not be any negative marking.
On the day of exam, candidates will have to bring a photo identity card along with printout of the hall ticket. If the hall ticket does not have a photograph, then candidates need to paste a photo at appropriate place and get it attested by competent authority. Also, MSU Baroda says, with regards to GSET admit card 2019, “ If there is any error in the Examination Hall Ticket please contact GSET office by E-mail : [email protected] immediately”.
