Goa Public Service Commission has announced 17 vacancies for various posts in Goa Medical College, Directorate of Health Services and Goa Police Department. GPSC has published an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 8 Year 2020) at the website gpsc.goa.gov.in in this regard. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply online for recruitment to various posts including Lecturer, Senior Psychiatrist, Junior Anaesthetist and Scientific Assistant cum Photographer in Forensic Science Laboratory. The last date to apply online is September 25, 2020.
As per the advertisement published by the Goa Public Service Commission, there are a total of 17 vacancies available. Majority of the vacancies are in the Goa Medical College. 4 vacancies for the post of Lecturer in Surgery, 4 for Lecturer in Radiology, 3 for Lecturer in Orthopedic Surgery and 1 for the post of Obstetrics and Gynecology are available under the Goa Medical College. On the other hand, there is a single opening available for the post of Senior Psychiatrist under the Directorate of Health Services. 2 vacancies are also available for the post of Junior Anesthetist under the Directorate. In addition, 2 openings are also available for the post of Scientific Assistant cum Photographer in Forensic Science Laboratory under the Goa Police Department.
Shortlisted applicants are to be called for an interview for final appointment. For the post of Lecturer under Goa Medical College, the selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration in the Pay Scale of Rs 15600-39100+6600/- (pre-revised) as per the revised pay matrix level 11. Candidates appointed to the post of Senior Psychiatrist and Junior Anesthetist under the Directorate of Health Services will also receive monthly remuneration as per the aforementioned pay scale. On the other hand, candidates appointed under the Goa Police Department for the corresponding opening will receive remuneration as per revised pay matrix level 6.
GPSC has specified some minimum eligibility conditions for applicants of the recruitment. Candidates within the maximum age of 45 years and holding a recognized medical qualification as well as a post-graduate medical qualification in the concerned specialities are eligible to apply for the post of Lecturer. In addition, such candidates must have at least 03 years of experience in teaching in the concerned speciality as a Senior Resident/Registrar, Tutor, Demonstrator in a Medical College or Teaching Institution. Applicants must have knowledge of Konkani.
Those who wish to apply for the post of Senior Psychiatrist must be within the maximum age of 45 years having a recognized medical qualification along with a post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality. In addition, 3 years or more of relevant experience and knowledge of Konkani is essential. Those having a medical qualification along with a post-graduate degree/diploma in the concerned speciality and knowledge of Konkanki are eligible to apply for the post of Junior Anesthetist. PG Diploma holders must also have 2 years of minimum experience after PG Diploma. Candidates within the maximum age of 45 years and having a degree in Science and diploma/certificate in photography/advanced photography are eligible to apply for the post of Scientific Assistant.
