Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has revised the GCET 2022 exam dates for this year. As per an official statement released by the authorities, it has been decided to push the exam dates by one month. With this, now the GCET 2022 exam shall be held on June 27 and 28, 2022. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on May 11 and 12, 2022. The board also notified that these dates are also tentative in nature and the final dates shall be confirmed 10 days prior to the examination. The authorities have not put forth any reason for this change.
GCET 2022 Application Form Date
As per the notice released by the DTE, the application form filling has not yet commenced on the official website. However, all the events related to the GCET 2022 application form filling, and admission shall be available on the official website of DTE, Goa. Hence, the candidates are advised to keep a tab on the latest website, dte.goa.gov.in.
GOA CET (Common Entrance Test) is an annual examination conducted by DTE, Goa for providing admission to candidates in the Engineering, Pharma programmes such as B.E., B.Tech, B.Pharma, etc. Other than this, the participating college has also started offering B.Arch courses for which it shall be considered the scorecard of NATA and JEE Main.
Exam Pattern
GCET 2022 is an offline test conducted in only the English language. A total of 225 marks are asked in the examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The candidates opting for the Pharma programme have to answer Biology questions in the place of Mathematics. Each paper shall be held separately for 75 questions and they shall be provided 2 hours to complete a paper. The questions are usually multiple-choice in nature and the answer has to be marked on the OMR sheet.
The final admission of candidates is subjected to their performance in the written exam, choice filling, rank in the GCET exam and preference of colleges marked in the application form.
