Exam dates have been announced for the Goa CET 2019 and it has been informed to the students that the exam is going to be held on May 7 and May 08, 2019. The Conducting body, Directorate of Technical Education, Goa has released the exam dates through an official notification. The exam will be conducted for the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The day, date and time for the Physics, Chemistry and, Mathematics subjects are updated to the students. On Tuesday, May 07, 2019, Physics exam will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on the same day, Chemistry exam will be conducted from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM. The Mathematics exam is scheduled to be held the very next day i.e Wednesday, May 08, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students seeking admission in just B.Pharm course need not appear for the Mathematics subject in the GCET 2019
Students can expect the application forms to be available only in the first week of April 2019 and after this date the admit cards will be available to the students. However, students will be able to submit their applications after the last date as well but before the last date of April 2019 with an additional late submission fee (Rs 1500 charged last year).
It is mentioned at the end of the notification about the prospectus for the Goa CET 2019 exam. Students will be informed each and every detail of the GCET 2019 exam including the Syllabus through the prospectus. The prospectus will be available soon on the website of Directorate of Technical Education, Goa i.e http://www.dte.goa.gov.in.
The candidates will have to prove their eligibility to apply for the GCET 2019 exam. All the students who have completed the HSC level of education from the Goa Board, CBSE or any other board equivalent to the Goa Board can appear for the exam.
The exam is conducted for Indian Nationals. However, the NRI candidates holding an Indian Passport are also eligible to apply for the reserved seats under the NRI category. A certain age limit – 17 Years for Medicine, Ayurveda, Dentistry, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing has been set. However, students have not yet specified any age limit for the Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
In the same notification, the information related to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences(Paramedical), & B.Sc. in Nursing courses have also been announced and it is advised to the students to keep checking the official websites and also the circulars and notifications.
In the previous year, 4,169 candidates across Goa appeared for the GCET exam. The Goa CET exam is conducted for admissions in Engineering and Pharmacy courses. On the off chance that there happen to be any changes in the exam schedule, it will be notified in the Newspapers. It is also advised to the students to avoid telephonic inquiries since they can be misleading which for which only the candidate will be responsible.
