Girls Over shine Boys in Punjab Class 12 Result; Pass Percentage 68.42%

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced PSEB class 12th Result 2018. The result was expected to be announced on April 28, 2018, however, to everyone’s surprise, the result has been declared today, on April 23, 2018. As per the news the result has been released but there is no link available on the official website www.pseb.ac.in. The students can also check the result online on punjab.indiaresults.com. All the students of Punjab Board class 12 are advised not to panic and have patience. The board will update the link to check it soon.

The board has also released the result for the students of Open School Class 12.

This year, out of the 3,00,417 students who appeared for Class 12 exam 2018 from Punjab Board, around 198,199 students have passed. The pass percentage for regular students is 68.42% and for the Open School, the pass percentage is 40.07%. Thus it is clear that the overall pass percentage of the students of Class 12 is 65.97%. Last year the overall pass percentage was 62.36.

The girls have outnumbered boys like last year with 78.25% pass percentage in comparison of the pass percentage for boys i.e. 60.46%.

The students of Ludhiana grasped top positions PSEB Class 12 result in both academic and Sports category.

Considering the academic records, Pooja Joshi got the first place in the state by earning 98% followed by Vivek who got the second rank with 97.55%. Both students are from Ludhiana. Jasnoor Kaur from Mukatsar Sahib who got 97.33% placed in the third position.

Now coming to the Sports Category, two students from Ludhiana got the first place by gaining the 100% marks and Mandeep Kaur of Faridkot got the second place by earning 99.56%.

To check the result, the candidates can log in the website Then they can enter the Roll Number or Name and can submit it. The result will appear in the pdf format. The students are advised to download the result and take teh printout for the future reference.

Punjab School Education Board came into existence in 1969. It is well known as PSEB. It was established through a legislative enactment of the state. The board manages all the activities the related to the Matriculation and the Senior Secondary class. PSEB prescribes the curriculum, course, and textbooks of the education. It manages the activities of the regular as well as open schools. The board conducts the exams of both classes. After the completion of the exams, PSEB also releases the result.
