Gauhati High Court Hiring 04 Chauffeur, Submit Applications for Sept 12, Get Details @ghconline.gov.in

Gauhati High Court has announced the recruitment for Chauffeur (Driver) to provide employment opportunity to 8th class pass candidates.

Gauhati High Court has published an official notification for the post of Chauffeur (Driver). The conducting body has released an advertisement for the same on the official website, ghconline.gov.in. Online applications are invited for 04 vacant posts of Driver. The application procedure has already started from August 31, 2020. The last date to submit the application form is September 12, 2020.

Out of the total 04 vacancies, 02 are for the OBC/ MOBC category and 02 is for unreserved category. As per the notification, there are no posts reserved for SC, ST (P) and ST (H). Applicants recruited as Chauffeur (Driver) gets salary under a pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 60500/- plus grade pay of Rs. 5200/-.

Candidates applying for the announced post must ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Applications from only 8th standard passed candidates are invited. They must also possess a valid registration driving license. Those who have passed class 12th and above are not eligible for the announced post. The minimum age limit for all the categories is 18 years. Maximum age limit for the unreserved category is 38 years, for OBC/ MOBC is 41 years and SC, ST (P) and ST (H) is 43 years. Gauhati High Court calculate the age as on the last date of the receipt of applications form.

Before the applicant starts with the application submission, they should have a valid email id and mobile number for registration. Candidates can get the direct link to apply for the post from the official website, ghconline.gov.in. Thereafter, they have to click on the ‘Online Application for Chauffeur’. Complete the applications procedure by registering successfully, uploading the images of the photograph and signature, submitting the application form and fee payment.

The application fee can be paid through Bank Challan only. Once did with the form submission, take a printout of the fee payment challan form. The application fee for SC/ ST (P) and ST (H) is Rs. 150/- and for all others the fee is Rs. 300/.

The selection procedure for the Chauffeur (Driver) post includes the Written Examination, Driving Test and Viva Voce. The First stage is the written examination conducted for 50 marks. Gauhati High Court conducted the written examination as a screening test which is qualifying in nature. It is mandatory to secure minimum 05 marks out of 10 marks in the Assamese Language segment and 24 marks out of 40 marks in aggregate. Next stage is the Driving Test for 40 marks. Following this is the Viva Voce (Interview). To qualify the interview, candidates must secure at least 60% marks. Based on the marks obtained the driving test and interview a final select list is prepared.
