Today, October 07, 2021, is the last date to register for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2022 examination. Candidates who are yet to submit their online application form have merely a few hours to do so. They must complete the registration formalities on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates completing their registration today must bear certain late fee charges in addition to the application fee. After today, authorities will not be accepting any more applications. Instead, they will begin displaying the defective forms. In case their form has some issues, candidates will get to rectify them during the correction facility. Here’s all a candidate needs to know.
IIT Kharagpur began the GATE 2022 registration process on September 02, 2021. The last date to register for the exam without any late fee charges was September 30, 2021. Beyond this, candidates also received a 7-day period to submit their applications. But, in this period, candidates had to pay Rs.500 as late fee charges. This period is going to end today and invariably, the GATE 2022 registration process will also conclude today.
Candidates who are still interested in applying for the GATE 2022 examination still have a few hours to complete the registration formalities. These include registering on the website, filling the application form, providing the education details and choosing the subject paper or combination of papers. They are also expected to upload the required documents and pay the application fee within this limited time period. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed information brochure available on the official portal. This is to ensure that no unnecessary mistakes are committed in the paper.
After today, authorities will be scrutinizing all forms that they have received and displaying the defective forms on October 26, 2021. Candidates will be given time up to November 01, 2021, to rectify their mistakes in the GATE 2022 application form. An additional 11-12 days will be given to aspirants to change their paper, category, and exam city for the postgraduate examination. Candidates can avail this facility latest by November 12, 2021, on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
The GATE 2022 examination is all set to be conducted on February 05, 06, 12, and 13, 2022. Two new subject papers have also been introduced in the examination – Geomatics Engineering and Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. So, a total of 29 subject papers will be conducted this year under the ambit of GATE 2022. The examination will cover different types of questions such as Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
