IIT Kharagpur, the conducting authority of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 will release the official answer key of GATE 2022 on the official website today, February 21, 2022. Once released, the answer key can be accessed by the candidates from the official website of GATE 2022 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates who have attended the exam have the option to challenge the answer key if there are any mistakes. The exam was conducted as a Computer Based Test of duration 3 hours for as many as 29 subject papers.
Candidates can challenge the answer key from February 22 – 25, 2022. A fee of ₹500 has to be paid to challenge each mistake that the candidates have found in the provisional answer key. The candidates response sheet was uploaded and can be accessed by the candidates from the official website of GATE 2022 from February 15, 2022. Candidates can use the response sheet and answer key to calculate their tentative scores before the official result is declared.
How to Raise Challenges on the Answer Key?
Candidates can raise challenges or objections on the answer key published on the official website of GATE 2022 by following the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE 2022, gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2: Find and click on the Contest Answer Key tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Pay the required fee of ₹500 online.
Step 4: Enter the question number.
Step 5: Provide the justification regarding your answer in 500 words.
Step 6: Upload necessary documents to support the answer.
If candidates have objections in multiple questions, they have to follow the above mentioned procedure again. The fee will be refunded in case the challenge is found to be correct by the officials.
GATE 2022 Result
The final answer key and results of GATE 2022 will be published on March 17, 2022 on the official website after rectifying the mistakes in the provisional answer key, if any. Candidates can download their scorecard of GATE 2022 from March 21, 2022. The scorecard can be downloaded by logging in to the candidates portal of the official website of GATE 2022. Candidates who qualify the GATE examination are required to appear for the counseling session to get admitted to different colleges.
