The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kharagpur has successfully conducted both the shifts of GATE 2022 exams today, February 06, 2022. The Instrumentation Engineering exam was conducted in the second shift along with 7 other exams. The exam was held for a total of 180 minutes from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm respectively.
GATE 2022 Instrumentation Engineering exam was conducted in offline computer-based CBT mode at various affiliated centers across the country. The questions asked in the exam were objective in nature. As of now, there are no updates regarding the release of the official answer key for the GATE 2022 exam papers. However, following the past trends, the GATE 2022 provisional answer keys are expected to be released by the third week of February 2022.

Candidates can use the aforementioned links to access the GATE 2022 Instrumentation Engineering answer key. While calculating the score, candidates must note that the answer keys are unofficial in nature and their final score may or may not differ from the actual score released by the officials. Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The GATE 2022 Instrumentation engineering exam paper followed the official GATE paper pattern as mentioned in their information bulletin. Objective-based Multiple Choice Question – MCQ, Multiple Select Questions – MSQ, and Numerical Answer Type – NAT questions were asked in the exam. Out of 65 questions that were framed in the exam, 10 questions were based on general aptitude. The Instrumentation exam weightage was divided into 3 main sections where 15% was given to General Aptitude, 13% to Engineering Mathematics, and the remaining 72% to branch subjects.
The total weightage of the question paper was 100 marks. The marking scheme that will be followed while evaluating the answer sheet is as follows: For questions having a weightage of 1 mark, ⅓ will be deducted for every wrong response whereas, for questions, weighing 2 marks, ⅔ will be deducted for every wrong response.
