Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has released the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 Response Sheet. Candidates who have appeared for the GATE 2019 can access the recorded response sheet at gate.iitm.ac.in. It is easily downloadable at GOAPS using enrollment id/e-mail address and password. This year, the examination took place on February 2, 3, 9, and 10, 2019.
IIT Madras has also issued a notification for the name correction. GATE 2019 applicants who wish to do so can send the request until February 17, 2019. Such candidates have to email at [email protected] with important details like enrollment ID, registration number, present name in the form, correct name, and soft copy of name proof.
Previously, the response sheet for S1, S2 was released on February 07, 2019. Now, it has been available for all the 24 subjects. The response sheet is a recorded copy of the answers marked by a candidate in the exam. It does not have the correct answers to the questions that were asked in the exam. So, the exam conducting body releases the GATE 2019 Response Sheet and Answers Key both to maintain fairness and transparency in the examination.
After downloading the GATE 2019 Response Sheet, candidates must keep a copy of it to cross-verify the answers with the answer key. It will be beneficial to calculate the raw scores in advance. It is expected that the exam conducting body will release the GATE Answer Key around 17 Feb. As per the previous year trends, the exam body publishes the key between 9-14 days after the conduction of exam.
Last year, the last exam was conducted on 11 February and the answer key was released for all the subjects on 19 Feb. So, there are high chances that this year, the GATE 2019 Answer Key to release on 17-19 Feb or by the end of the third week of February 2019. When the key is available, IIT M will update it on the official website. Test takers will able to download it using their GATE 2019 login credentials.
In case of any errors, IIT Madras also gives an option for students to raise the challenge(s) in the GATE answer key. The window to raise the objections will open for 3-4 days only. Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- per challenge. Apart from that candidates have to submit the valid documents to prove their objection. Once the challenge window closes, all the objections will be properly scrutinized to prepare the final answer key.
Finally, the GATE 2019 Result will declare on March 16, 2019. It will release in the form of scorecard containing the All India Rank (AIR). Candidates must download it within the window that is provided by the exam conducting body. So, download the result before May 31, 2019. On the basis of AIR, candidates can participate in the M.Tech admission process of IIITs, NITs etc. Top-Rankers will also able to apply for the Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) recruitment as a Junior Engineer etc.
