The IIT Guwahati has released the final answer key for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2018 (GATE). It has been released online at the official website, gate.iitg.ac.in, on March 13, 2018. The Preliminary Answer Keys was previously released on February 21, 2018. On the basis of the challenges submitted by the candidate, the final answer key has been prepared.
Though as per the official website, the final answer key was supposed to be available from March 14, 2018 onwards, however, it has been released one day before the date. To check the final answer key, visit the GATE 2018 official website, and then click on the link for Final Answer Key. Finally, click on the respective subject/ discipline for the question paper and the answer key.
Now that the final answer key is released, the result for GATE will also be announced soon. As per the official website of GATE, the result will be announced on March 17, 2018. However, like the final answer key, the candidates can expect the GATE 2018 Result to be announced one day before, i.e., March 16, 2018. The GATE 2018 result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.
The exam conducting body has also refunded the amount of challenging the answer key to the successful candidates. To challenge the answer key, the candidates had to pay an amount of Rs. 500.
After the declaration of result, the IIT Guwahati will release the scorecard for the qualifiers of GATE. It will be available from March 20, 2018, onwards at GOAPS, appsgate.iitg.ac.in. To download the GATE Score card the candidates need to enter their Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password.
The candidates who want to get admission in IIT. need to apply for the respective IIT but also have to register for GATE COAP. The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is a new initiative by IITs to provide a common online platform for M.Tech admission offer. Through this, the candidates can check which IIT has offered a seat in a course, to the respective candidate.
The qualified candidates can participate in counseling for M.Tech / PhD admissions or PSU recruitment through GATE 2018. The score for GATE 2018 will be valid for three years.
GATE is an aptitude test in engineering conducted every year by one of the regional Indian Institutes of Technology. This year, it was conducted by IIT Guwahati on February 03, 04, 10, 11, 2018. The scores of GATE are not only used for admission in M.Tech. programmes but it is also accepted by several PSUs for recruitment of graduate trainees/management trainees.
For this year, it is expected that the cut off shall be anywhere between 21 to 40. This prediction is by analyzing the last two year’s cut off. Those candidates who obtain marks equal to or more than the cut off will be declared as “Qualified”.
