The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has released the notice regarding the direct recruitment for various posts, yesterday, dated, February 08, 2022. The notice contains information relating to the exam dates, shifts, and exam time. The admit card for these exams will be released soon, on the official website, fssai.gov.in.
According to the official notice, the exam for various posts ranging from Assistant Manager, IT Assistant, Hindi Translator, Personal Assistant, Junior Assistant Grade 1, Food Analyst, Central Food Safety Officer, Technical Officer to Assistant will be conducted from March 28 to March 31, 2022, in 2 shifts.
FSSAI Direct Recruitment Exam Schedule
Initially, the exam was supposed to be conducted from January 17 to January 20, 2022. But due to the COVID situation, the exam was postponed and the new schedule was released yesterday.

The Assistant Manager post includes Social Work, Psychology, Labour and Social Welfare, Library Science, Journalism or Mass Communication or Public Relations and IT.
FSSAI Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The exam will be computer-based and will be held for a total of 3 hours. The type of questions will differ depending on the different posts.
Food Analyst– Question type: 16 descriptive questions with a maximum mark of 100. Questions are asked related to food laws, different accreditation bodies, setting up of laboratories; physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis, and case studies.
Technical Officer, Assistant, Personal Assistant, Junior Assistant Grade 1 & Central Food Safety Officer – There are a total of 120 MCQs, each carrying 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The maximum mark is 480. There are 2 parts to the exam- Part A (General Aptitude) and Part B (Functional knowledge).
Assistant Manager (IT) & IT Assistant– The question paper comprises 120 MCQs. Each question carries 4 marks and there is a negative marking of 1 mark. Questions are asked related to General Aptitude, Computer Literacy, IT, Engineering Mathematics, FSSAI, and food laws.
Assistant Manager (Social Work, Psychology, Labour and Social Welfare, Library Science, Journalism or Mass Communication or Public Relations)– The exam format is the same as that of Assistant Manager (IT). The syllabus covers General Aptitude, Basic Computer Literacy, FSSAI, and food laws.
Hindi Translator– The paper is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 and Part 2 each consist of 60 MCQs that are to be attempted in 90 minutes. The total exam duration is 3 hours. Each MCQ carries 4 marks with a negative marking of 1. Part 1 questions cover General Aptitude, food laws, knowledge about FSSAI, computer literacy, and translation.
Steps to download FSSAI direct recruitment exams admit card
Step 1: Head to the official website of FSSAI, fssai.gov.in
Step 2: On the home page, near the ‘What’s new’ tab, click on the ‘All’ button.
Step 3: A list of notifications will be displayed. Scroll down to find the notification dated October 02, 2021, and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link corresponding to it.
Step 4: Now, candidates have to log in using their username and password.
Step 5: Next, click on the Admit Card tab beside the Application form tab.
Step 6: Candidates will be able to view the admit card. Click on the ‘Download’ tab.
