National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2021 on February 22 and 27, 2021. NTA shall also conduct the Graduate Pharmacy Admission Test (GPAT) 2021 on the same dates. Registration for the two exams began on December 23, 2020, and the last date to register is January 22, 2021. Candidates can apply for the entrance tests on cmat.nta.nic.in and gpat.nta.nic.in, respectively. With just a few days left for the registration process to end, here are the common mistakes that candidates must avoid during the application process.
Candidates can apply for either of the two exams only through the online mode. Authorities will not accept the application form through any offline modes. Hence, candidates must fill the application form online through the official websites of the entrance tests i.e., cmat.nta.nic.in and gpat.nta.nic.in.
The application process began on December 23, 2020, and the last date to apply for the examination is January 22, 2021. However, candidates must not wait till the last date to fill the application form. If they do so, multiple mistakes may appear in the application form due to the stress and hurry of filling the form on time. NTA does provide a correction facility for candidates to correct their particulars in the application form. However, it is better to take the right amount of time and fill the form with correct and authentic information.
Authorities have also instructed that each candidate can only submit one application form. Multiple application forms shall not be accepted under any circumstances. Candidates tend to fill multiple application forms because of certain errors made in the previous forms. These forms shall not be accepted by NTA. Instead, candidates can wait for the GPAT 2021 or CMAT 2021 correction facility to rectify their errors. The facility shall be made available from January 25 to 30, 2021 on the official websites.
GPAT 2021 and CMAT 2021 application fee is decided based on the category and the gender to which the candidate belongs. Male candidates belonging to the general category are expected to pay Rs.2000. On the other hand, all candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Gen-EWS, OBC-NCL as well as general category female candidates have to pay Rs.1000 as application fee. Transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 as well. Aspirants must make sure to select the appropriate gender and category while filling the application form. By choosing the incorrect category, their application fee charges may change leading to discrepancies.
NTA has also provided an additional day to pay the application fee i.e., January 23, 2021, up to 11:50 pm. Beyond this timeline, no fee payments shall be accepted by the authorities. Candidates are instructed to make a note of the examination timeline to prevent any unrequired hassles.
