Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, has announced the EWS Lottery 2022-23 first list for the upcoming academic year 2022-23. The list has been uploaded on the official website edudel.nic.in. Candidates who had applied for EWS admission can also check their individual results on the official portal. As per the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, at least 22% of seats need to be reserved for EWS candidates while 3% of seats need to be allotted to children with disabilities. This policy is applicable for entry-level classes including nursery, kindergarten, and Class 1.
The Delhi education department had earlier, conducted the EWS Admission 2022-23 application process on April 07, 2022. Thereafter, the first lucky draw was supposed to happen on April 30, 2022, but, took place 4 days prior, on April 26, 2022.

To check the EWS Result 2022-23, candidates can use the steps elaborated below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of the concerned education department i.e., edudel.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, scroll down and click on the “EWS/DG Admissions and EWS/Freeship Admission” tab.
Step 3: By doing so, a new page will open containing all the relevant information about the lottery-based admission. Click on the link attached to the words “EWS/DG/FREESHIP Result 2022-23”.
Step 4: On doing so, a new page will open asking for login credentials such as Registration Number and Date of Birth. Enter these credentials in the spaces provided.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Submit’ option to access the result.
Step 6: Download or print a copy of the document for future reference.

Accordingly, specifications like registration number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, guardian’s name, school ID, name of allotted school and class have all been specified. To confirm the admission, candidates need to contact the respective school authorities on or before May 30, 2022, at 1:00 pm.

As of now, the Delhi education department has not specified any dates pertaining to the EWS Result 2022-23 second list. However, as per unofficial reports, the second list is likely to release next month, preferably in the first or second week of May 2022. This will give candidates ample time to contact the allotted school to confirm their admission.
