The Kerala Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) Model 12th Examinations commenced on March 16, 2022. The English Model Exam was conducted today. The exam was conducted in the morning shift between 9.45 am to 12.30 pm. In addition, exams for Paper 2 languages and Computer Science and Information Technology are to be held in the afternoon shift till 4:45 PM. The DHSE Kerala Plus 2 Exam is scheduled for the end of March 21, 2022. As the English exam is over, educators have begun releasing the unofficial answer keys for the examination held today. The date of the official answer key released by the DHSE is yet to be announced on the official website – dhsekerala.gov.in.

The answer keys not only answer all questions as appeared in the paper but also provides an apt explanation to the answers. Candidates can use the answer to estimate the marks scored by them in the exam and where they stand in their performance. To calculate the marks, candidates must consider a 1+ mark for every correct answer, there was no negative marking in the examination.

The examination of each subject consists of three components: Terminal Examination (TE), Continuous Examination (CE), and Practical Examination (PE). Candidates are required to obtain a grade of D+ or above, with a minimum 30% aggregate score in CE, PE, and TE, when taken collectively, and at least 30% in TE separately, to pass in any subject. While the overall qualifying score for English is 30, the qualifying score for TE is 24 with the total marks being 100.
