Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited has advertised 19 vacancies for three different permanent positions. The Government of Tamil Nadu undertaking company has published an advertisement regarding the recruitment. Eligible and intending candidates are being invited to forward recruitment applications for the posts of Private Secretary, Driver and Attender. The proforma for application is also published at the official website of ELCOT i.e. elcot.in. Applications in the prescribed format must be sent by post to the Managing Director of the company so as to reach the authority on or before the last date. The last date of receipt of applications is September 17, 2020.
As per the latest recruitment advertisement issued by ELCOT, the 19 vacancies are distributed across three different posts. The highest number of vacancies are available for the post of Attender. There are 10 vacancies available for this post. On the other hand, 05 vacancies are available for the post of Driver and 04 vacancies are available for the post of Private Secretary.
Selected candidates are entitled to receive a monthly salary at various pay levels depending on the post. For the posts of Private Secretary and Driver, candidates will be appointed at Level 8 of the Pay Matrix at the scale of Rs 19500-62000. On the other hand, for the post of Attender, candidates will be appointed at Level 1 of the Pay Matrix at Rs 15700-50000.
ELCOT has also indicated certain minimum eligibility conditions for applicants intending to apply for recruitment to the vacant positions. As such, candidates who have passed Class 8th exam are eligible to apply for the posts of Attender and Driver. However, candidates intending to apply for the post of Driver must additionally have a valid driver’s license for light vehicles.
The eligibility conditions for the post of Private Secretary are a little different. Applicants must be a graduate in any discipline. In addition, applicants must have Shorthand and Typewriting skill in Tamil and English language. They must have a Higher Grade passing certificate in such skills obtained from the Government Technical Education. Furthermore, applicants must also have a pass certificate in a Computer Course on Office Automation obtained from the Technical Education Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Candidates must download the application form and fill it up completely before forwarding it to the Managing Director, ELCOT, MHU Complex. II Floor, 692, Anna Salai, Nandanam, Chennai-600 035. The name of the post applied for must be superscribed on the top of the envelope at the top left corner. Applications must only be sent through Registered/Speed/Ordinary post or Courier.
