Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has postponed the webinar addressing the teachers from December 17 to December 22, 2020. After the big announcement on JEE Main 2021 dates yesterday, it was highly expected that some important announcement for CBSE board exams 2021 shall be made today. However, the webinar has now been postponed and will be held in the evening at 4 PM.
Informing about the event, Mr. Pokhriyal said that “Teachers, I am looking forward to having an insightful interaction with you all on Dec 22 at 4 PM. Please share your queries/suggestions with me”.
Due to the overwhelming response received from the teachers, the date of the webinar has been revised. Last time too, due to the increase in the number of responses received, the Education Minister postponed the webinar for addressing the queries of the students from December 10 to 14. Hence, till then, teachers can send their queries or concern for board exams 2021 using the hashtag #EducationMinisterGoesLives.

Ever since the announcement of the webinar, the Education Minister has asked teachers to submit their queries that they might have the exam cycle that is likely to be followed this year due to the pandemic.
Many teachers have asked the Minister for clarity on the upcoming board exams, online classes, assessment methods, etc. Hence, similar to the students, teachers have their own set of questions and need a lot of clarification since the schools are closed and online classes are going on. Many of the teachers have been facing the challenge to complete the board exam syllabus on time and since there is no clarification on the board exam date, it is not only putting stress on students but for them too equally.
Whereas, some teachers are demanding cancellation or postponement of the exam. In the last held webinar, many students asked about the practical exams. To this, he clarified that if students will not be able to visit their schools to do lab work, due to some reason, alternatives to practical exams will have to be explored. Additionally, teachers are also asking for clarification on the process of holding the practical exams which generally start from December – January.
Furthermore, CBSE officials have announced that board exams will be held for sure and in offline mode. The schedule for CBSE 10th, 12th board exam 2021 will be held upon consultation with the stakeholders.
please do not reduce syllabus.
