Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) has decided to extend the last date for the submission of the online application for the direct recruitment of Science ‘B’. Candidates can fill up their application form up to August 17, 2020. Conducting body took this decision, due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates can now submit the application form for Scientist-B recruitment up to August 17, 2020, and upload the documents by October 12, 2020. The recruitment notification with Advt. No. 137 can be downloaded from Defence Research and Development Organisation RAC website which is rac.gov.in.

Prior to this notice, candidates had to submit the online applications for posts of Scientist `B’ in Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) before July 10, 2020. However, coronavirus has made it difficult to conduct the application process smoothly. Candidates can now submit their online application and submit the documents in support of their eligibility and reservation claims as per the news dates. In addition, RAC has also mentioned that the dates for determining the age limit are the same as it was notified in the notification that is as on July 10, 2020.
As mentioned earlier that the application process for DRDO RAC recruitment for Scientist B is conducted through online procedure only. Eligible candidates have to visit the official website, rac.gov.in to get the direct link to apply for the post. General (UR), EWS and OBC male category candidates have to pay Rs.100/- as the application fee. These candidates can make the payment for the non-refundable, non-adjustable application fee through online mode only. SC/ST/PwD and women candidates are exempted from the application fee submission. Candidates have to upload 10th certificate, date of birth proof, recent passport size colour photograph, scanned sample of candidate’s signature, Valid GATE score card for Category I candidates in Part-I and for all candidates in Part-II, NET certificate and scorecard for candidates in Part-III.
The age limit for the candidates is calculated as on July 10, 2020. Eligible candidate’s age who belong to the unreserved category must not exceed as that of 28 years, 31 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 33 years for SC/ST. Candidates who have graduate/postgraduate degree in relevant fields are eligible to apply for the DRDO RAC recruitment for Science-B post. Also, those who are appearing or have appeared in the final year examination are also eligible for the post. If candidates wish to apply for Category 1 or Category 2, they should have appeared for the GATE examination. Those who wish to apply for Category 3 should have appeared for NET exams and secured a good rank.
