Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is inviting applications for recruitment to the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The 10 advertised vacancies are however not permanent in nature. DRDO has advertised the vacancies in a detailed recruitment notification published at the official website i.e. drdo.gov.in and Employment News. Eligible and interested candidates who wish to pursue a career in defence research are encouraged to go through the website and forward the applications through speed post only. The last date of receipt of applications is 21 days from the date of publication of the notice on the official website.
As per the official recruitment notice published by DRDO, the vacancies are available at Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL) in Hyderabad. The vacancies for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) are bifurcated across the disciplines of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME). There are 07 vacancies available for the post of JRF-ECE and 03 vacancies are available for the post of JRF-ME. Selected candidates are entitled to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 31000 in addition to HRA as per DRDO rules. However, selection for recruitment does not confer any right of absorption in DRDO.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. This includes compliance with the specified age limit and educational qualifications. The maximum age of the applicants cannot be more than 28 years as on the closing date of advertisement. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per specifications. Candidates must have a first-class B.E./B.Tech degree along with NET or GATE qualification. In addition, one must also have a first-class post-graduate degree in a professional course such as M.E./M.Tech. In this context, minimum marks of 60% is to be considered as first-class.
Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to go through the recruitment notification and apply for the recruitment after ensuring that they have fulfiled the minimum eligibility conditions. Completely filled up applications must be forwarded to The Director, Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL), Chandrayanagutta Lines, Hyderabad-500005 so as to reach on or before the specified last date by speed post only. In addition, an application fee of Rs 10 must also be paid through Indian Postal Order to the Director, DLRL. SC/ST, PWD and female candidates are exempted from the payment of fee. During the selection interview, candidates are advised to produce original certificates and recent passport sized photographs.
