Airport Authority of India in its recent notification has announced the recruitment process for the vacant posts of Pilot. A total of 02 vacancies are out for Pilot (P1)– Dornier DO 228. The recruitment for the aforementioned posts is on a contractual basis. An official notification in this regard can be downloaded from the AAI website, aai.aero. Interested candidates can apply for the announced posts without any delay, as the process of online application is going on. Indian nationals who have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board and university are eligible for Pilot post. They must possess a valid ATPL on multiengine aircraft with a minimum of 2000 hours of flying experience. Moreover, there is a list of some technical qualifications/ license required before applying. They must have current valid ATPL/CPL issued by DGCA, India, IR Endorsement, Current FRTO issued by DGCA, India, Current RTR (A) or RTR (P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India, Current Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India, Valid ELP and Indian passport. In case candidates do not possess a passport, they can submit the copy proof of submission of application. Applications for the said post can be downloaded via the official website, aai.aero. Candidates have to submit the filled-in application form to The Executive Director (FIU), Flight Inspection Unit, Airports Authority of India, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi- 110003. Along with the form, they also have to attach recent passport size photograph, photocopies of the following documents – date of birth, qualification, experience certificates such as the appointment letter etc, Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India, valid ATPL/CPL, FRTO, IR Endorsement, RTR (A) or RTR (P) or RTR(C), Valid ELP, Valid Passport or copy of the application form to get the passport. Ensure that the application reaches to the prescribed address on time.
After the application procedure, AAI scrutinizes the application and eligibility of the candidates. Based on the eligibility, applicants are shortlisted for the interview. They shall report at the venue with all the original documents that are submitted with the application form. The selected candidates are appointed for a period of 03 years. Their service period may get extended up to 02 years subject to their performance and on mutual consent.
