Southern Railways is conducting a whole separate recruitment process for two thousand three hundred and ninety three vacancies, for which applications are being accepted at rrcmas.in. The last date to apply is September 12. Southern Railways Group D recruitment 2019 is for posts of trackman, helper (track machine), helper (tele), helper (signal), pointsman, helper (C&W), helper/diesel mechanical, helper/diesel electrical, helper/TRD.
However government job aspirants are requested to note that this is a recruitment specifically for ex-servicemen.
Ex-servicemen who have retired after fifteen years of service, and passed amry class I certificate or equivalent can apply for this recruitment. The upper age limit for this recruitment is 50 years as on August 13.
Southern Railways will form panel for shortlisting candidates on the basis of their length of military service. Then the shortlisted candidates will have to go for document verification. Finally selected candidates will undergo requisite training for the posts/

Salary of level 1 group D candidates who get recruitment through Southern Railways Ex-Servicemen group D recruitment 2019 will be as per the city they are posted. Approximate consolidated pay will be Rs 22,968 for Z class, it will be Rs 24,660 for Y class, and Rs 27,072 for X class. DA, TA, HRA, dress allowance of Rs 5000 per annum will also be given as per applicability.
Those who are still service in armed forces are not eligible for this railway recruitment 2019. Another thing to note is that medical classification of candidate should be A2 and below under relaxed standard for ex servicemen.
Southern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell Chennai says, “It is advisable to fill the application form much before the Closing date to avoid last moment traffic to the website or any other unforeseen issues that might arise at that time. Since the application fees needs to be paid through online mode, it is advised that the applicants complete their application form with payment to avoid any bank holidays during which NEFT transactions might not work.”.
