National Testing Agency has notified the CUET 2022 syllabus and exam pattern for the examination scheduled to be held in July 2022. The registration process for the exam is going to be conducted from April 01 onwards. The agency has earlier stated that from this year, the universities shall be considering the marks scored in the CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test). From this year, onwards, the candidates have to participate in the entrance exam based on the NCERT syllabus to get admission to the UG/PG programmes offered by the universities.
CUET Exam Pattern 2022
As per a report by The Indian Express, it is expected that the CUET 2022 examination is going to have two sessions. Both the sessions would be conducted for four hours each. The first is going to be having questions from the language and domain paper and general aptitude. The candidates need to attempt 40 questions from section 1A and 60 questions from the general aptitude paper.
The report further said that the candidates shall be asked to pick up one language out of the 13 languages offered by them in section 1A. The section IB is going to have questions from the domain opted by the candidate. In this, the agency offers 27 subjects and candidates have to choose merely 6 out of them. Both the papers shall be conducted for 45 minutes having 50 questions.
The general subject paper is going to have 75 questions conducted for a duration of 1 hour. The candidates shall be asked to attempt only 60 questions out of all. The questions in all the subjects shall be equivalent to the class 12th level of NCERT level. The questions asked in the exam shall be of MCQ (multiple choice question based).
CUET 2022 Syllabus
Paper 1 A is going to have questions from Reading Comprehension based on factual, literary, and narrative passages from the 13 subjects, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English. Whereas paper 1B shall be having questions from the domain opted by the candidates. The general Aptitude paper is going to have questions from General Knowledge and Numerical ability.
