Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) and Era Foundation’s Uni-GAUGE were being held separately for admission in engineering colleges under COMEDK and UNi-Gauge respectively until the year 2016.
From 2017 onwards, both the exams have been combined and is now held in computer based test mode across the nation. Up until last year the only difference was in the scorecard and counselling process of the two exams. The candidates attempted only one exam, but got 2 scorecards. Going by last year’s exam, it is expected that upon getting the COMEDK scorecard candidates will participate in centralized counseling by COMEDK at Bangalore. However, using the Uni-GAUGE scorecard, there are expected to be separate counsellings at individual member universities of ERA Foundation.
