The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) released the provisional answer keys for the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2021 yesterday, i.e. September 17, 2021. Right after the availability of the answer keys, students now seem to be in search of rank predictor tools that will help them give an idea of marks v/s rank.
Provisional answer keys, that have been released yesterday, contain the marks obtained by the candidates. Besides, using the keys, candidates can calculate their marks as per the marking scheme of +1 for correct answer, and 0 for incorrect or not-attempted; there is no negative marking in COMEDK.
There is no official rank predictor tool for COMEDK 2021, however, a lot of private companies have launched such tools. These tools can be easily accessed online by a quick online search of COMEDK 2021 rank predictor tool. Based on the prediction provided by these tools, candidates can get an idea of a tentative rank so that they can analyse their chances of getting admission into the desired colleges. Please note that these tools are not 100% accurate as their prediction is based on the results and exam analysis of the previous COMEDK exam papers.
Nevertheless, these tools work on an algorithm that uses past years marks vs rank data. To predict one’s rank using such tool, all one has to do is open any one of the tools. Some of the COMEDK rank predictor tools available online are by Bangalore Admission, Aglasem, etc. Then, enter the COMEDK 2021 score/marks and click on the ‘Predict’ button. The tentative UGET rank of the candidate will be displayed. Prior to predicting one’s rank using this tool, candidates must go through the provisional answer keys to check the obtained marks. The provisional answer along with the obtained marks, displays the correct answers for each question. For every correct question, the candidate gets 01 mark while there is no negative marking for the incorrect answers. In this way, the total marks obtained is calculated. Eventually, after knowing the expected rank, one can check the previous year cut-offs of the various engineering and medical institutes.
Last year, the opening and closing ranks of some of the top COMEDK colleges saw a great difference, as per reports. For instance, R.V. College of Engineering had the opening rank of 41 while it closed at 11469. Likewise, BMS College of engineering had the opening rank of 152 and the closing rank went up to 16373. Bangalore Institute of Technology had the opening rank of 25 and the closing rank was 17447. In 2019, after the second round of counselling, the cut-off for AMC Engineering College (ECE course) was 50220, KNS Institute of Technology (CSE course) – 48800, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (CSE) – 8319.
These cut-offs can only give an idea regarding the expected COMEDK 2021 cut-off. This year, the COMEDK 2021 UGET examination was held on September 14, 2021. Based on the provisional answer keys that were released yesterday, candidates have time up to September 19, 2021 to challenge questions. Here are the direct links to COMEDK 2021 rank predictor tools.
