CLAT 2021 Update: Last Date to Submit Application Form Extended by 1 Month, to 30 April

Candidates who have passed 12th/ Graduation can now apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 on or before the last date, April 30, 2021.

The last date to apply for CLAT 2021 Exam is now extended. Recently, the Consortium of National Law Universities has released a notification informing the extension of the last date of registration. Candidates can now apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 till April 30, 2021. Eligible and interesting students can register via consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT application procedure was scheduled to end on March 31, 2021. However, the Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to extend the online registration and application procedure for a month. So, candidates who wish to take admission in UG ( BA LLB, BBA LLB), and PG (LLM) programs can apply for the CLAT exam 2021.

To apply for CLAT, candidates have to visit the official website i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The first step is to register by entering the name, mobile number, email ID and password. On successful registration, they can proceed with the CLAT 2021 application form. Input all the details including the educational qualification, test centre preference, reservation status. Take a preview and proceed to make the fee payment. In case, aspirants find any incorrect details in the form, they can correct them before the fee payment. Lastly, take a print out of the CLAT application form 2021.

Application fee for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/ OCI category is Rs. 4000/- and for SC/ST/BPL is Rs. 3500/-. Applicants must note that the CLAT application fee is non-refundable. It can be paid online via Internet Banking or credit/debit card. On the successful payment, candidates will receive a confirmation message on the registered mobile number and email address.

Moreover, before candidates submit applications, they must go through the eligibility criteria for the UG and PG Program. To apply for BA LLB, BBA LLB, candidates must have passed or appearing 10+2 with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST). Candidates with a Bachelor of Laws (Legum Baccalaureu or LLB) are eligible for the PG course. There is no upper age limit to appear for the CLAT examination.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance test for admission in UG ( BA LLB, BBA LLB), and PG (LLM) programs. Qualifying CLAT exam allows candidates to take admission in 22 national Law participating universities. Several other private universities/ colleges/ institutions also accept CLAT scores. This year, the Law Entrance Test is scheduled for June 13, 2021. The CLAT call letters will be out at least 02 weeks before the examination.
