The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on May 12, 2019. National Law University, Odisha is going to organize the CLAT Exam. The applications got opened at clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in from January 13, 2019 and are ending on March 31. Candidates who want to enroll for the CLAT 2019 exam have about a month left. To register for CLAT 2019, candidates can visit the official website.
Online application form can be submitted for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses. In the online registration form candidates have to fill the details such as the Name of the applicant, Mobile Number and Email ID. Next, the candidates have to select a strong password and click on register. Once registered, candidates have to fill their personal and academic details in the application form.
Candidates who have scored at least 45% marks (General / OBC / Special Abled Person (SAP) in 10+2 are eligible to apply for CLAT 2019 UG Exam. SC/ST candidates need to have at least 40% marks in 10+2. To appear in CLAT 2019 PG exam, the (General / OBC / Specially Abled Person category) candidates need to have at least 55% marks. Whereas, the SC/ST candidates need to have at least 50% marks. Candidates matching the specified eligibility criteria can appear for the CLAT exam.
Choosing the National Law University
In the process of submission of the application form, the students have to select their preference of National Law Universities (NLU’s). Students can fill the preference form in any order. However, students must research well before they set their target. It is mandatory for the candidates to select all the NLU’s. The selection, however shall be strictly on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in CLAT 2019 exam.
Documents Required to be submitted – While filling the application form, the candidates will have to upload their documents such as Candidates Photograph, Signatures and State of domicile certificate.
CLAT 2019 Application Fee
Application fee for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates is Rs.4,000/-. Also, the Application fee for SC/ST/BPL category candidates is Rs.3,500/-. Candidates who want to get the previous year question papers for CLAT can get the same at a price of Rs 500/- (To be paid separate from the application fee amount). Students are informed that the application fee once submitted is non-refundable and can be paid in the online mode only.
About CLAT 2019
This year 21 National Law Universities are taking part in the CLAT exam. This list excludes the National Law University, Delhi since it conducts its own entrance exam – the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). The list of NLU’s include the newly built – Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Vishakhapatnam. Himachal Pradesh National Law University has also dropped HPNLET (Annual Law Entrance Exam) and joined hands with the CLAT Consortium. Along with the 21 NLUs, 13 Private Universities are going to accept CLAT 2019 scores for admission to the law courses.
