The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is inviting applications for the posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Sub Divisional Officer Grade-II and Hindi Typist. A total of 97 vacancies are going to be filled for all the three mentioned posts. Now, for those candidates who are class 10 qualified, it must be noted that the posts for Sub Divisional Officer Grade-II and Hindi Typist are available to them.

As mentioned earlier, there is a total of 97 vacancies that will be filled through this recruitment. These vacancies are further divided into different categories, details of which are given in the table below.

Eligibility
The required educational qualifications for the three posts are different. Out of the three, only two posts have eligibility based on class 10 or matriculation level.
- The educational qualification for Junior Hindi Translator requires the candidate to have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. They must have Hindi and English as either compulsory or elective subjects.
- Candidates desiring for Sub Divisional Officer II must have passed matriculation from a recognized board. In addition to that, they must have a diploma or certificate of a registered or recognized institute in Surveying or Draftsmanship (Civil) for a minimum of 02 years.
- Similarly, for Hindi Typist, the candidate should have qualified matriculation or equivalent from a recognized school or board. They must possess a speed of typing 25 words in one minute in Hindi.

Age Limit
The age limit will be counted as on January 15, 2022. Candidates applying for Junior Hindi Translator must be between 18-30 years of age. On the other hand, the ones applying for Sub Divisional Officer Grade II and Hindi Typist must be between 18 to 27 years of age. There will also be category-wise age relaxation. For OBC, it is 03 years, SC and ST – 05 years, PH – 10 years, PH + OBC – 13 years, PH + SC/ST – 15 years.
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 200 via demand draft that must be in favour of the ‘Principal Directorate Defence Estates Southern Command Pune’. However, women candidates and the ones belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and EWS categories are exempted from paying the fees.
