On October 19, 2021, CISCE issued a public notice announcing the postponement of ICSE Semester I exams for both Class 10 and 12. The decision to postpone exams was taken in light of circumstances that were beyond their control. A revised schedule was going to release in due course of time, as specified in the notice.
Almost 3-4 days later, CISCE issued a new public notice, announcing the revised ICSE Semester I exam schedule. Accordingly, Class 12 exams will be held from November 22 to December 20, 2021. On the other hand, Class 10 semester exams will be conducted from November 29 to December 26, 2021.
Apart from announcing the examination schedule, authorities also shed light on the concerns raised by several heads of schools, parents and students. Their concerns were about difficulties faced by students while giving the exam through the online mode. Some of the major issues face include lack of devices available, irregularities in power supply and network or connectivity problems.
Acknowledging and accepting all these concerns, the board has decided to conduct the ICSE Semester I exams through the offline mode for both Class 10 and 12 students. However, rather than going to other schools, students will have to appear for exams in their respective schools only. Moreover, students will be required to appear for the exam as per the date and time specified in the revised timetable.
The central education board through its public notice requested all students, teachers and parents to take note of the revised schedule. For their convenience, students are advised to take a printout of the Semester I timetable. This is to ensure that they do not miss out on any subject exam. Candidates are also advised to visit the official website frequently for any latest updates or changes in this regard.
