According to a letter circulating online, the CG TET 2021 exam is going to be conducted in November. The exact dates for the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test are not yet disclosed for paper 1 and paper 2. However, an official announcement regarding the same is expected soon on the official website, vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. The CG TET exam was earlier scheduled on March 23 last year, but the same could not happen due to the second wave of covid-19. The admit card and the complete date sheet for CG TET are going to be soon announced on the official website.
As per reports, the Secretary, School Education Department has written a letter to SCERT citing that the CG TET exam that has been pending since 2020 and will now be held in November 2021. Along with the date, the letter also reads that candidates who have qualified for the B.ED or D.EL.Ed course between March 2020 to March 2021 will get the opportunity to apply and appear for the exam.
The letter circulating on social media is as below; the same is not available as such on any official website. Thus, whether it is true or fake, is yet to be ascertained. Also, even if it is true, whether the exam will indeed be in November, that decision remains to be taken by the final authorities after considering all aspects pertaining to the conduct of the exam.

CG TET or Chattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test is a qualifying exam that is conducted to recruit teachers at the primary or upper primary. The candidates who qualify for the exam with the minimum qualifying marks are awarded the TET certificate that holds a validity of lifetime. The validity period of the TET certificate was 7 years earlier however, the same was increased to a lifetime period by the GOI. Post qualifying the exam, the candidates can apply for the post of teacher in any school of Tripura at any of the levels.
The CPEB conducts the CG TET examination in the offline mode in around 28 centres across the state of Chattisgarh. The exam is conducted at two levels, Paper 1 (class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (class 6 to 8). Each paper accounts for 150 questions and there are five subjects in both papers. The minimum qualifying marks for the CG TET 2021 is 60% of the total marks for General candidates. While the same for the reserved category students is 50% of the total marks.
Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) conducts CG TET annually to award TET certificates to the eligible teachers. The candidates are provided with the option to write either paper 1 or paper 2 or they can opt to appear for both the examination. Paper 1 is held for the candidates aspiring to work as primary teachers for classes 1 to 5. While paper 2 is for candidates willing to get certified as upper primary teachers (classes 6 to 8). The candidates who qualify for both the papers can teach both classes.
