Central Silk Board has released a recruitment notification advertising Scientist-B, Scientist-C and Assistant (Technical) posts. A total of 79 vacancies are announced for CSB Recruitment 2020. Candidates who are interested in this recruitment can download advt no. CSB/02/2020 from csb.gov.in. Eligible candidates can submit the online application for this recruitment before July 17, 2020. The last date for the submission of the hard copy of the application form is July 20, 2020. For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of JK, Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep or abroad is July 30, 2020.
Out of the total 7 vacancies, 03 are of Scientist-C, 59 are for Scientist-B, 15 are for Scientist-B (CSTRI Units) and 02 for Assistant (Technical). Candidates recruited under Scientist-C receives Rs. 67,700/- Rs. 208700/- per month, Scientist – B and Scientist – B (CSTRI Units) gets Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 177500/- per month and Assistant Technical receives Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 112400/-.
Those who wish to apply for Scientist-C and Scientist-B must have a Master’s degree in Science/Agricultural Sciences. Applicants who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Textile Technology can apply for Scientist-0B (CSTRI Units). Those who have a doctorate degree in agricultural sciences with one-year experience in Agricultural Sciences can apply for Scientist-C. To apply for Assistant (Technical), candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Entomology/Zoology/ Botany/Agriculture/Sericulture/Chemistry.
Along with the educational qualification, candidates must satisfy the age limit as prescribed by the recruiting body. Applicants age must not exceed as that of 40 years for Scientist-C, 35 years for Scientist-B and Scientist-B (CSTRI Units), and 30 years for Assistant (Technical).

Candidates have to upload scanned image and attach 10th certificate, degree certificate, work experience certificate, EWS certificate, caste certificate, Physically handicap certificate, a declaration from OBC candidates for reservation and other relevant certificates.
Eligible candidates are shortlisted for Assistant (Techcial) through online/written test. The selection of candidates for Scientist-B and Scientist-C is done through online/written exam and interview. Both the rounds carry equal marks, however, the recruit suitable candidates 75% weightage is given to online/written exam and 25% marks given to interview. The interview round carries various components such as qualification, research experience, performance in the interview, publications, etc.
