As per official sources, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the Term 2 Board Exams from April 26, 2022, onwards. After much deliberation and discussion, exams will be held through the offline mode, at selected centers across the country. The second term will be theoretical in nature, in contrast to the objective questions asked in Term I. Furthermore, the former will only cover 50% of the reduced syllabus.

Looking at the distribution of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Syllabus, it is evident that the Term 2 portion is concentrated. So, skipping out on any topic is unwise. Furthermore, it is important for students to be aware of the detailed syllabus to not miss out on any topic.

CBSE Term 2 Syllabus & Paper Pattern

As per the official CBSE notice, the Class 10 and 12 Term 2 exams will be conducted at the end of the current academic year 2021-22. Furthermore, it will be based on approximately 50% of the actual syllabus.

The Class 10 and 12 board exams will be conducted offline for a duration of 2 hours. The paper will comprise questions that are case-study-based, situation-based, long-answer and short-answer, open-end type, etc. Candidates can expect a combination of these types in the paper.

Currently, the COVID-19 situation is stabilizing in the country. And so, it is conducive to conduct offline, theory-based exams on a nationwide level. However, if the situation worsens again, CBSE Term 2 board exams will be held in the objective format, for a duration of 90 minutes.

It is important to note that the CBSE Term II board exams for Class 10 and 12 will be considered while evaluating the final results. A cumulative result will be calculated by equally prioritizing Term I and Term II.
