The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the date sheet for the Term 2 exams very soon. Students will have to keep an eye on cbse.gov.in to check the date sheets as and when they are released. The upcoming Term 2 examinations will have both objective and descriptive questions. CBSE has already released the sample papers along with the marking scheme on its academic website at cbseacademic.nic.in. Students from both classes 10 and 12 can now check the same.
Students’ Reactions
Almost every social media site is filled with mixed reactions from the students. Some of them are eagerly waiting for the date sheets to be released soon while others have projected that there is not much time left for preparation. CBSE Term 1 examination came to an end in December 2021. The examination followed an objective-type pattern. However, the upcoming examinations will have a mixed pattern of questions, both objective and descriptive. This seems to have added more to their misery as one can see in the image attached below.

There has already been some delay in releasing the Term 1 results and the uncertainty still prevails as to when the results will be out. Students, on the other hand, are of the opinion that if the results have not been released yet, then the Board should release the date sheet for the Term 2 exams at the earliest. As understood from the Twitter threads, many students are yet to start their preparation for the upcoming exams. Hence, they presume that if the date sheets are released early, then they can plan and start their preparations accordingly.

Students have claimed that there is only a month left to complete 50% of the syllabus for the Term 2 examinations. According to them, studying for a descriptive paper in such a short time would not be easy and hence they now demand the Term 2 exams to be held in the objective or MCQ-based mode. The time given to them to prepare for the Term 1 or MCQ-based exams was nearly 8 months. However, there seems to be a shortage of time to prepare for the upcoming exams.

Amidst all these, it is speculated that the CBSE Term 2 date sheet will be released by this week. Now, whether the Term 1 results are going to be announced prior to releasing the date sheets or not, cannot be ascertained. Hence, students are guardians are advised to keep an eye on official updates and check the cbse.gov.in website regularly. It is advised to not pay heed to any fake news.
