A subject gets complete with the syllabus it consists of. Therefore, CBSE has prescribed a syllabus for the students of class 10th for session 2018-19. CBSE class 10th board examinations consist of the core (main) subjects and the language subjects. Presently, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the notice regarding the dates of the examination for session 2019. Accordingly, CBSE is going to start the board examinations after February 15. Examination of vocational subjects will start first in the month of February followed by the main examinations in the month of March.

Class 10th Science Syllabus
Among the list of the major subject of class 10th, science is one of it. For class 10 students science is the common subject. The entire subject is divided into three sections i.e physics, chemistry and biology. In the further stages, these sections become an individual subject for more conceptual learning. Science is the subject where you can learn things theoretically as well as practically.

Unit 1: Chemical Substances- Nature and Behaviour- 25 marks
Unit 2: World of Living- 23 marks
Unit 3: Natural Phenomenon- 12 marks
Unit 4: Effects of Current- 13 marks
Unit 5: Natural Resources- 07 marks
Total Marks- 80 Marks
Internal Marks– 20 Marks
Grand Total- 100 Marks

Students who are going to appear for class 10 examinations in the upcoming year have to keep in mind some of the important rules instructed by CBSE. 2019 annual science examination will be of 80 marks and 20 marks are provided on the basis of internal assessment. Out of 80 marks, theory paper will be of 68 marks while 12 are for the practical based questions. There will be periodic three tests. Out of three, best two will be considered. The tests are of weightage 10 marks. While the practical will be of weightage 5 marks and regularity, classwork etc will be of weightage of 5 marks.
CBSE has not released its entire schedule for class 10 as well as class 12 examinations. The date sheet will be available by the month of December expectedly.
