The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Home Science exam 2021-22 today, December 22, 2021. Students expressed the exam paper to be lengthier as compared to the Sample question paper provided by CBSE. The exam was held at various affiliated schools across the country, in the pen-and-paper format. Students appeared for the Term 1 Home Science exam from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and were allotted an hour and a half to attempt the whole paper. This year CBSE has updated its board exam system for the academic year 2021-22. Accordingly, the Term 1 Home Science exam consisted of 55 objective-based multiple-choice questions out of which 45 were compulsory to attempt. These questions were based on the bifurcated syllabus.
Paper was conducted for 90 minutes and students had to submit their OMR sheets sharp at 1:00 pm. In addition to the time indicated in the timetable for attempting to paper, 20 minutes time was given to read the question paper. As per the reports, the question papers were distributed at 11:10 am sharp. Soon after reading all the instructions carefully, OMR sheets were distributed at 11.30 am. CBSE term 1 Biology exam commenced at 11:30 pm and concluded at 1:00 pm.
The exam question paper consisted of a total of 55 questions divided into 3 sections. 45 out of 55 questions were made compulsory to solve in 90 minutes for a total of 35 marks.
The question paper had three sections namely: Section A, Section B, and Section C. There were 55 questions in the question paper. Section – A consisted of 245 questions out of which 20 questions were to be attempted from this section. Section – B consists of 24 questions (Sl. No.25 to 48) out of which any 20 questions were compulsory to attempt for full marks. The first 20 attempted questions will be considered while evaluation in both Section A and B . Atlas the Section-C consists of one case followed by 6 questions linked to the case based on the prescribed syllabus. Any 5 out of 6 of these questions were to be attempted in this section.
All the diagram-based questions were replaced by theory questions for visually impaired students. This was done for every section separately.
As per the 2021-22 bifurcated syllabus, the CBSE class 12 Home Science paper covers the following portion of the textbook:
- Work, Livelihood and Career
- Nutrition, Food Science and Technology
- Human Development and Family Studies
Applicants willing to find the answers on their own can take the help of the above chapters from their respective Home Science textbooks. The questions asked in today’s examination were mostly theory-based questions with a few compositional ones. However, all of them were centered around the CBSE syllabus.
