CBSE 10th and 12th exams 2019

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed the class 10th and 12th Examinations for session 2019. On Wednesday i.e tomorrow through press conference CBSE has announced that exams will start from the month of February. So, all those students who are going to appear for the examinations for the upcoming session, start with your preparation. The entire schedule of the examination will be available soon. So, students get yourself ready and start with your preparation.

For session 2019, CBSE has decided to conduct the examinations a bit earlier. So, CBSE will first start with the exams of the vocational subjects by the mid of February. After that, CBSE will conduct the class 10th and class 12th examinations for core subjects.

Class 10th and class 12th date sheet will be available by the next week came to know by the CBSE officials.

Now, the reason behind this decision is that on July 11, 2018, Delhi high court ordered the Delhi University to fix the cutoff dates for the admission to UG courses only after the declaration of the CBSE result for the main examinations as well as the re-evaluation. As from the previous years, this is being noticed that students are facing problems while attaining the admissions in the colleges/ Universities. As there are many students who are waiting for their re-evaluation result.

This creates a lot of chaos and also most of the students not able to apply for the desired colleges. So, to make the process fair and simple, High court has come up with this decision.

There are total 40 vocational subjects including class 10th and class 12th. So, from the list of these subjects, CBSE will conduct the exams of Typography and Computer Applications, Graphics, Office Communication etc in the mid of February. As these are the subjects with a larger practical part, as compared to the theory paper.

Also, read- CBSE plans for two test paper options of Maths for class 10th students.

From the last year, CBSE starts the examinations from the month of March including the vocational ones. Then by the end of May, CBSE announces its result followed by the result of re-evaluation in the month of July. This creates the difficulty for the students in order to attain admissions in the universities/ colleges across India.

CBSE offers the total 240 subjects for class 10th as well as class 12th. For class 12th, the language is the compulsory subject while for class 10th languages, mathematics, science and social science are the compulsory subjects. In addition to these compulsory subjects, students are free to choose any combination of subjects.

This decision will result in the declaration of the result of the main examinations as well as the re-evaluation a bit earlier a compared to the last year.

Changes in the date sheet are made in order to strengthen the examination process of CBSE, recommended by the High Powered committee set up in April 2018.
