The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the class 10 Fresh and German examinations today, i.e. December 07, 2021. These subjects fall under the category of minor subjects. Students had to appear for the exam from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, i.e. for a duration of one and a half hours. Along with French and German, a total of 07 other subjects were held today which are Arabic, Tibetan, Russian, Persian, Nepali, Limboo and Lepcha.
The reading time allotted to the students was 20 minutes and not 15 minutes, unlike previous years. For class 10, the French paper comprised various sections. There was an unseen, picture-based passage for comprehension/reading, writing skills under which students had to complete the text or message, a grammar section that had tenses, composed relative pronouns, personal pronouns with y and en and negation. The questions also covered 03 lessons under the culture and civilization section.
Similarly, for German, the term 1 paper was for 50 marks. The questions were categorized under various sections. There was a reading comprehension (unseen passage), writing skills for which students had to complete emails, SMSs, dialogues, etc. Additionally, there was a section on applied grammar which covered adjective endings, indirect questions, past tense and prepositions. There were seen passages as well.
However, soon after the conclusion of the examination, various subject experts and educators start releasing the answer keys for both papers. Students, who are in search of the answer keys, can access the same from YouTube. All they have to do is type ‘CBSE class 10 French, German answer key 2021’ on youtube.com and go through the videos that are available. These answer keys, although unofficial, can help one to get an idea of the number of correct questions and calculate a tentative score.
Reportedly, the official answer keys are expected to be released shortly on cbse.gov.in. Once they are available, students can do a final check of the answers. Today marked the end of the CBSE class 10 minor exams.
