On February 15, CBSE class 12 examination has started. This year the board has decided to conduct the exams for the vocational subjects first followed by the core subjects. While the CBSE class 10 examinations are going to begin from February 21. This year around 13 lakh students appeared for CBSE class 12 board exams and around 18 lakh students are going to appear for class 10 board exams. Examination process has been started and therefore students are worrying about how will CBSE going to prepare the upcoming question papers.

Students of class 10 and 12 from CBSE board take a breath of relief. This year board has introduced a lot of changes to make the pattern of the paper ‘student friendly’ and easy.

For the academic year, 2018-19 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) introduces the change in the entire examination process. Keeping in mind the previous year problems faced by the students CBSE has decided to conduct the examinations 15 days prior as compared to the last year and started with the vocational subjects first. This will eradicate the delay in the evaluation processs. Thus, this year CBSE has also decided to declare the result of class 10 and 12 students a week before as compared to the last year.

Now, if we talk about the pattern of the examination pattern then yes CBSE has introduced a lot of changes in the pattern just to make the board exams stress free and easier. As per the reports, CBSE has increased the number of objective questions. Along with this, the board has also increased the number of internal choices in the paper. For this year CBSE planned to make the questions papers more structured. Each question paper will be divided into the sub sections. The questions in the paper are from the prescribed syllabus only.

For class 10 students CBSE has also provided the relaxation in the passing criteria. Students need to score 33% total marks including theory and internal marks. This is really a big relief for the students those who afraid of getting passing marks in the board exams. This helps the students to focus more on their performance.

CBSE class 10 and 12 examinations for the core subjects are going to commence from the first week of March. High time for the regular students has arrived. But do not take too much stress. CBSE is not going to design the paper too hard for the students.

All The Best!
