CBSE 2018 Class 10th English Review: Moderate Difficulty, Section C Confusing

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) surprised the entire nation by not starting class 10th Board examinations with the English language paper. While some approve of it, the others criticized the move but the students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th English exam today, on March 12, 2018, and found the paper to be fairly moderate. CBSE 10th result 2018 will be announced in June.

The question paper was quite simple but few questions were mind-boggling. Few students admitted that the English literature part was a bit confusing but overall, the level of difficulty was not high.

Teachers who examined the paper deduce that the CBSE Class 10th English Paper was quite scoring but students found Section ‘C’ for Literature a confusing.

Usually, the students are scared of the unseen passage. However, this year, the passage was the same in all the Section A of all the three sets and students felt it was pretty easy. All the questions asked were direct and one careful read of it was enough to answer it all.

Grammar section also had no questions that were beating round the bush. There were few students who faced difficulty in answering but the majority stamped it to be average in the level of difficulty.

The paper was not out of syllabus and was based on NCERT material. The Board very well prepared the paper to check the level of studnets knowledge.

CBSE gracing the students with easy question paper was a bliss. A maximum number of students had time left and were able to revise the answers. As per the teachers at the center, a student who knew the language well will be easily able to score well in the exam.

The CBSE class 10th examination will end on April 4, 2018. Next exam is for Carnatic and Hindi Music and will be held on March 14, 2018. Following it, the candidates will appear for Science Theroy paper on March 16, 2018. The CBSE Class 10th Datasheet does not give too much of time gap for prepartaion to the students.
