The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 is scheduled to be held on November 28, this year. IIM-Ahmedabad is going to conduct the CAT 2021 exam. The conducting body has released the guidelines defining the important documents to be carried to the examination centre. CAT 2021 Documents Required
As per the CAT exam day guidelines, candidates have to complete the document verification round before entering the test centre. For this, they need to produce certain documents to verify their identity as CAT aspirants. The list of documents required for CAT 2021 exam includes:
- Hard Copy of CAT 2021 Admit Card (Affix photograph)
- Original ID proof (such as College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Aadhar Card or Identification Affidavit)
- Medical Certificate for candidates using pacemaker or implants (metal) or other devices for medical reasons.
- Scribe Affidavit for PwD candidates
Along with these documents, candidates are allowed to carry masks and hand sanitizers inside the test centres as per COVID-19 protocols.
Exam Day Guidelines for CAT 2021
CAT is a national level examination that is scheduled to take place this Sunday in three sessions. Aspirants are advised to reach the test centre at least 30 minutes prior to the gate closure time. The reporting time is also sent to them on their registered mobile number and email address.
There are certain items/ things which are prohibited by IIM Ahmedabad to bring to the centre. The list includes Mobile phones, Electronic Gadgets, Calculators, Watches, own Stationery items, pens, Wallets, and Goggles. Scribble pad pages will be provided at the exam centre only.
Moreover, the authority has also stated some instructions related to CAT 2021 dress code. Socks, plain Pullovers/Sweaters/Cardigans (without any pockets) are allowed inside the test centre. However, students are not allowed to wear any jewellery (any item containing metal), Shoes/footwear with thick soles, and garments with large buttons.
Further, there will be a registration stage wherein aspirants are asked to proceed with IRIS and photo registration. During this procedure, the IRIS is scanned and a photo is captured. Hereafter, they have to sign their respective attendance sheets.
No candidate is allowed to leave the exam lab until the completion of the exam. However, aspirants have an option to take bio-break before entering the lab. In case of a medical emergency or there is a doctor-certified medical condition (e.g. Diabetes), they can opt for the bio-break after entering the exam lab. For any other reason, no break is allowed during the test.
