The CAT 2018 exam was conducted on November 25, 2018, at 374 test centers spread across the Country. Now, the answer key for CAT 2018 has been released by various coaching institutes. IIM Calcutta, for the first time ever, has released the response sheet for CAT 2018. The CAT 2018 Response sheet consists of questions asked in Slot 1 and Slot 2. On the basis of the questions given in the CAT Response Sheet, the coaching institutes have prepared the CAT Answer Key 2018.
Till now, coaching institutes such as TIME, have published the answer key at their official websites. There are many educational websites as well which have published the CAT 2018 Answer Key.
The candidates with the help of the Answer Key published by the Coaching Institutes and the CAT 2018 Response Sheet published by IIM Calcutta can cross-check their answers. To download the CAT 2018 Response Sheet, the applicants need to visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in. The candidates will then have to log in by entering details such as User ID and Password. Click on the Login button to submit the details. Once the candidates submit the CAT 2018 Login details, a new page will open on the screen, in which the candidates need to click on the “Response Sheet” tab and then click on the link to view the CAT 2018 Response Sheet. Finally, the candidates can download it to cross-check their answers.
Aglasem has developed a tool, Percentile Predictor. With the help of this tool, the candidates can calculate the percentile which they shall obtain in the CAT 2018 exam. Other than this tool, the candidates can also calculate their score by adding and deducting marks as per the marking scheme.
For every correct answer, the applicants should add +3 marks, and this will be applicable to MCQ and Non-MCQ questions. There is a negative marking, which means that for every incorrect answer, you need to deduct -1 marks. This scheme of negative marking is applicable for MCQ type questions only. There is no negative marking for Non-MCQ questions. The marks obtained by adding and deducting the marks is the probable score of the candidate.
The official answer key will be released by IIM Calcutta at the official website of CAT. There has been no confirmation by the officials as to when will the CAT Answer Key 2018 will be available. However, it is expected and many newspaper reports also claims that the CAT 2018 Official Answer Key shall be available for download by the First week of December 2018.
CAT 2018 Result is likely to release in the second of January 2019. IIM does not notify the actual of the result date on the official website. Most expectedly, the result will announce January 07, 2019, onwards. Candidates who have appeared for the CAT 2018 will receive the message on their registered mobile number. It will contain only the overall percentile of the candidate. For the detailed scorecard, students have to use the login credentials in order to check the sectional and overall scaled scores.
Common Admission Test (CAT) is the entrance examination takes place every year for admission to management programmes. The examination is organized by Indian Institute of Management in the rotational basis. The forms for the national level test releases in the month of July/ August for the exam in the month of November/ December. The scores of the exam are accepted by 21 IIMs and other 100+ b-schools.
